Scott is a battle-hardened-n-humbled, entrepreneur-operator-investor active in the enterprise SaaS (B2B2C) product-based ecosystem. He has cherished his journey of professional learnings and personal transformation in every engagement, both past, and present.

Scott has over 25+ years of executive management experience focused on hiring, mentoring, retaining, coaching & celebrating talented leaders; Each of these experiences drove a positive outcome for all involved stakeholders. Evolving from industry-defining companies such as @Microsoft to founding & scaling multiple enterprise startups from ideas to revenue-generating ecosystems.

Jamil currently serves as Founder and Executive Director of the National Security Institute and as an Assistant Professor of Law and Director of the National Security Law & Policy Program at the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University, where he teaches classes on counterterrorism, intelligence, surveillance, cybersecurity, and other national security matters, as well as a summer course in Padua, Italy with U.S. Supreme Court Justice Neil M. Gorsuch. Jamil is also affiliated with Stanford University’s Center for International Security and Cooperation and previously served as a Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution from 2016 – 2019.

Recently Jamil N. Jaffer was as Senior Vice President for Strategy, Partnerships & Corporate Development at IronNet Cybersecurity, a startup technology firm founded by former NSA Director Gen. (ret.) Keith B. Alexander. Jamil also serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Washington Board of Trade, is a member of the Board’s Smart Region Movement Strategic Advisory Counsel, and is a co-chair of the SRM’s Cyber, Data Management, and Privacy Solution Group. Jamil is also an advisor to Beacon Global Strategies, a strategic advisory firm specializing in international policy, defense, cyber, intelligence, and homeland security; 4iQ, a technology startup focused on deep and dark web intelligence and identity theft protection; Duco, a technology platform startup that connects corporations with geopolitical and international business experts; and Amber, a digital authentication and verification startup.

In addition to these positions, Jamil currently serves on the Strategic Advisory Committee for the Global Cyber Alliance, the Advisory Board of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies’ Center on Cyber and Tech Innovation, and is a member of the Center for a New American Security’s Task Force on Artificial Intelligence and National Security and the CNAS Digital Freedom Forum. Jamil is also a Fellow at the Academy for Judaic, Christian, and Islamic Studies, and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Center for Intelligence Policy, the Board of Directors of Speech First, and the Executive Committee of the International Law and National Security Practice Group of the Federalist Society, and is an advisor to the Concordia Summit.

As Director of Investment Business Development, As Director, Seed Funds, Teddy is responsible for helping to define strategy and leading seed team members with the dual objectives of investor returns and economic development for the state of Maryland. He provides thought leadership, develops investment themes, structures and executes investments, and proactively manages portfolio companies.

Teddy initially joined TEDCO as part of the Venture Fellows program, jumped at the opportunity to come on board full-time as an Investment Analyst, and worked his way up to be promoted to the Director, Seed Funds. Teddy has evaluated hundreds of early-stage technology companies and led investments across verticals ranging from Life Sciences, Cybersecurity, SaaS, FinTech, Advanced Materials, Robotics, Drones, and more.

Prior to joining TEDCO, Teddy was a Senior Associate with Techstars Equitech, providing operational and consultative support at scale to 12 high-growth technology startups with a focus on underrepresented founders. Teddy also brings to the table experience co-founding an angel investing syndicate focused on Climate Tech and consulting for an innovative life sciences start up in Baltimore.

Teddy earned his MBA, with a Graduate Certificate in Investments and Portfolio Management, at The George Washington University and his BA in Psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Smita founded Smartsourcing Global Inc, US, in 2006 after rich experience of technology at DoubleClick, Inc. At Smartsourcing Global, a custom software development company, Smita built a diverse portfolio of web and mobile solutions for health & wellness, telecom, logistics, social media, finance, high-tech and ecommerce expanding business in US and SEA.

Smita co-founded 1Mobility, headquartered in Singapore, in 2014, an Enterprise Mobile Security product with the passion and vision of making a difference for businesses through technology. At 1Mobility, Smita was focused on emerging markets, initial focus being India and Southeast Asia with a strategy to expand in global markets through partners and joint ventures. In April 2018, 1Mobility was acquired by Qualys, Inc. (NASDAQ: QLYS), a Silicon Valley company, a pioneer and leading provider of cloud-based security and compliance solutions.
