Ardent offers simplified CMMC compliance solution to defense and federal contractors with TurtleShield Platform
On October 15, 2024 the Defense Department released the final rule for the long-awaited Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program. CMMC compliance will be a mandatory requirement from October 2025 for all defense contractors willing to participate in defense contract bids. The Turtleshield platform automates the CMMC compliance process through our 7 step methodology and reduces the cost of compliance with process automation and patented data discovery technology.
What is CMMC?
CMMC is how the DoD wants to make sure you are meeting cybersecurity standards while handling sensitive data. CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) is a framework developed by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) for requiring organizations in the DoD supply chain to protect FCI, CUI, and/or ITAR DATA across the Defense Industrial Base (DIB).
CMMC 2.0, released in November 2021, streamlined the original five levels of certification into three:
- Level 1 (Foundational): Basic cybersecurity practices with 15 security measures from FAR 52.204-21 to protect FCI.
- Level 2 (Advanced): More stringent controls, aligned with NIST SP 800-171, with 110 practices to secure CUI.
- Level 3 (Expert): Advanced measures, targeting protection against Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs), including NIST SP 800-172 practices.
Why CMMC?
To meet regulatory requirements and keep winning DOD contracts for your organization.
- Regulatory requirements and compliance (Deadline: October 2025)
